What is an ozone pool?
An ozone pool uses ozone — a powerful form of oxygen — as part of the water treatment process.
Ozone (O₃) is created on site and mixed into the pool water through the filtration system. It works quickly to help break down impurities before naturally reverting back to oxygen.
Are any pools totally free of chlorine?
No. All pools by law must have a residual amount of chlorine. Ozone treatment massively reduces the chlorine required for sanitation to improve overall water quality, creating a better environment for learn-to-swim lessons.
Is ozone safe for children?
Yes. Ozone is a naturally occurring substance and ozone pool systems are widely used in aquatic centres and swim schools around the world. Ozone pools have a faster and higher level of sanitation than regular pools without the high level of chemicals.
Does ozone stay in the water?
No. Ozone reacts quickly and naturally converts back into oxygen.

Hey, I'm Clive!
Get Wet Swimming has been quietly serving Murwillumbah and surrounds for over 20 years. We've had generations of families learn to swim here!
Tucked away in the industrial estate, our purpose built learn to swim pool is indoor, warm for babies and has the lowest level of chlorine permissible in NSW due to our specialised ozone purification system. Come and give it a try!
